This is a bright clear deep ruby color wine with some garnet notes and long legs on the glass. Clean on the nose with medium+ intensity developing aromas suggesting pepper, violet, green bell pepper, leather, earth, blackcurrant and blackberry. Dry on the palate, with medium+ acidity, medium+ ripe and soft tannins, medium+ alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ flavor intensity displaying blackcurrant, black cherry, pepper, leather, vanilla, green bell pepper and plum. The sweet fruit and warm alcohol are balanced by the zesty acidity and its sinewy tannins. Its texture is supple for an overall expressive and well-defined wine from a hot climate. Its length is medium+. Very good quality for a well-balanced wine, with good fruit concentration, good complexity and length. Typical Barossa Australian Shiraz around 60 euros, good to drink now but with ageing potential.
