This is a bright clear deep garnet color wine with tawny rim and long legs on the glass. Clean on the nose with pronounced intensity fully developed aromas suggesting pepper, violet, mint, green bell pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry. Dry on the palate, with medium+ acidity, medium+ level of ripe and fine-grained tannins, high alcohol, full body and pronounced flavor intensity displaying blackcurrant, black cherry, pepper, vanilla, green bell pepper and plum. The sweet fruit and warm alcohol are balanced by the zesty acidity and its robust tannins. Its texture is supple for an overall expressive and well-defined wine. Its length is long. Outstanding quality for a well-balanced wine, with great fruit concentration, complexity and length. Typical powerhouse Australian Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Malbec around 45 euros, good to drink now but with good ageing potential. A true landmark wine from Margaret River in 2001.
