This is a bright clear medium- ruby color wine with garnet notes on the wide rim and long legs on the glass. Clean on the nose with medium+ intensity developing aromas suggesting strawberry, tomato, cassis, wet leaves, pepper, violet, redcurrant, cranberry and vanilla. Dry on the palate, with medium+ acidity, medium- ripe and fine-grained tannins, medium alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ flavor intensity displaying strawberry, plum, wet leaves, pepper, violet, redcurrant, marmalade, cranberry and vanilla. The sweet fruit and warm alcohol are balanced by the zesty acidity and its supple tannins. Its texture is supple for an overall expressive and well-defined wine from a cool climate region. Its length is medium+. Very good quality for a well-balanced wine, with good fruit concentration, good complexity and length. Typical Australian Pinot Noir around 36 euros from 2008 in Adelaide Hills, good to drink now but with ageing potential.
