This is a clear bright deep ruby wine with narrow purple rim and long legs on the glass. Clean on the nose with medium+ intensity of aromas suggesting sultana, marmelade, strawberry, black cherry, fig, chocolate, honey, orange peel, prune, raisin, vanilla, jaminess, cinammon and nutmeg. Fully developed nose. Sweet on the palate with medium acidity, medium- soft and fine grained tannins, high alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavour intensity displaying sultana, marmelade, strawberry, black cherry, fig, prune, raisin, vanilla, jaminess, cinammon and nutmeg. This is a wine that balances a cloying sweetness and expressive fruit with well integrated tannins, warm alcohol and zesty acidity. The tannins are clay-textured and is a warm climate, overall expressive, well defined wine. Medium+ finish with sweet notes at the end. Good quality wine with good structure, balance between its components, great concentration and complexity, medium finish and typical Ruby Reserve Port that is good to drink now. Medium priced.
